Traditional 100 Nights Ceremony
Today we observe the traditional “vaka bogi drau” or 100 nights since you have left us, Maasai Jones.
Since we have not yet received your gravesite plaque; your brother, cousins, aunts, and grandparents decorated two planter boxes with red flowers. We read your poems, and shared a few laughs, and tears this morning. We are trying to live life as you would have wanted. We will continue to remember your sweet and fun spirit. We raised an independent, brilliant, and gifted young man, and my hope is that you continue to share your love always. We love you! Soar and fly high, Maasai Jones. Till we meet again luvequ.
